Michigan Athletics Highlights
I had the opportunity to work on many exciting campaigns and initiatives during my five years working in Athletics and am presenting a few of the most significant here. During my tenure I art directed annual marketing campaigns, created a high volume of work for every sport and for a multitude of formats, directed photoshoots, and managed and mentored teams of interns.
Promotional Season Posters and Banners
The following set of posters and banners are a favorite from my time at Athletics. Every year to promote the upcoming season, I would design a schedule poster for each of the varsity sports in that year’s marketing campaign branding. This particular year included the challenge of handling the Nike uniform changeover and introduced the Nike-created pattern made for U-M. I also art directed several of the photoshoots.
Radrick Farms Logo Redesign
Inspired by and based on the original Radrick Farms logo, a new logo was developed for the 50th anniversary of the course and was met with enough success that it was modified to become the permanent logo.
Big House 5K
I designed the original branding and artwork for this annual race hosted by the athletic department to raise money for local charities. In later years, I managed student interns and art directed their efforts to maintain the branding of the event.
Special Game Promotions
One-off designs to promote individual games that include poster giveaways and social media promotion.
